Pallet Positions Diagram

1 pallet position = 4' x 4'

Pallet Positions - A pallet position is a 48" x 40" footprint with a maximum height of 7' on a trailer. Each pallet position must not exceed 2000 lbs. maximum. The theoretical maximum number of pallet positions available on a 53' trailer is 26, (13 deep x 2 wide). The value you enter in the form field shall be the number of 48" x 40" footprints (pallet positions) your freight will consume when loaded on the trailer.
Note: Not all trailers are 53 feet long. 48' Trailers have a theoretical maximum of 24 pallet positions.

Examples
4 standard pallets = 4 pallet positions
3 standard pallets + 1 piece 3' x 7' = 5 pallet positions
1 piece 5' x 9' = 6 pallet positions
1 piece 42" x 54" = 4 pallet positions
